While I am on the subject of being fed up, I would like to discuss the trials of Being a Senior. There are so many stupid things that a senior just has to do. There are senior pictures, graduation announcements, graduation caps and gowns, senior shirts, etc. etc. etc. Also there are social things: the senior all-night party, Springfest, and of course Prom. Prom tickets at Belpre High School run $20 for a single and $25 for a couple. This discriminates against students going without dates because the tickets cost almost twice as much (By the way, I think this is a ridiculous amount of money for just the dance itself). Now let's talk about what students wear to this glorious Prom. Boys rent tuxedos that run anywhere from $50 and up and up and up. Girls buy fancy dresses that they will likely never wear again for about $100 and up and up and up. This is such a waste of money!!! We're just kids. We don't have a lot of money to spend, we don't have full time jobs, and if we want to take a friend as a date, this friend has to shell out a hundred bucks for just one night of crazy high school fun. Shouldn't prom night be more about the fun that the money? With all this hassle over who buys the tickets, the flowers, the dinner, the limo (WHAT KIND OF CRAZY PERSON TAKES A LIMO TO PROM???????) etc. etc. it starts to become more stress than fun. I am fed up. We should fix this.

I am really fed up with someone that I considered to be my friend. I guess maybe I was mistaken. I consider friends to be the people that you can trust, not only to keep your private conversations to themselves, but also people you can trust to tell you the truth. I feel that I have been betrayed in these aspects by a certain person, and it hurts. I thought this person valued our friendship more than that.

We got our scores from the judges today in Choir. We got a I, a II, and a III from the judges and a III in sight-singing. I am really mad at the II Judge. He was so busy blabbing about how he wanted things that he didn't even hear the positive things in our performance. Other than a few small details I thought we sounded AWESOME. Bravo, Choir! Bravo!

I got a super cool shirt at Gabriel Brothers. It has a black and white photo of 4 kids on pogo sticks silkscreened on. I am trying to make up an identity for them. I was thinking they could be the Beatles, but one of the kids is a girl. They could be Peter, Paul, and Mary, but who is the other kid? I reckon people will believe me no matter what I tell them, people have a tendency to do that. Casey was seriously convinced that it was my birthday Thursday. I like to let people think these things for some reason, I don't want to be thought of as the person you can always believe, I want people to actually think about what I am saying.

Today is Saturday. On Saturday mornings I am supposed to sleep in and relax. It is supposed to be a happy day, free from stress, the day where I wake up smelling like sleep; however, this Saturday morning I dragged myself out of bed at the wee hour of 6 and trudged downstairs for some Cinnamon Toast Eggo Waffles and hot chocolate. After breakfast I felt I had the strength to fight the next challenge of my day: Pantyhose. I made it to the school right on time and ran with great difficulty in my high heels and skirt through the cold rain to the choir room.

15 minutes later I was sitting on a stinky yellow bus on my way to the middle of nowhere, AKA Zanesville High School. The choir was a blur of black robed sleepy teenage bodies as we filed into room 318 to wait for our warm up session. "This is your chance to use the restrooms, you have FIVE minutes!" shouted a cranky chaperone. I grabbed Samantha and we made a beeline for the Ladies' Room only to find a 10 mile line. "Forget this," we said as we went in search of a restroom we could use sometime before the end of the world. Leah, Brittany, and Amy followed. By the time we made it back to 318, our choir had left us.

Amazingly, Leah instinctively knew where we were supposed to be and led us to the art room where the rest of the choir was warming up. I was so relieved. We sang our songs, struggled through the sight-singing, and went to the cafeteria to wait for our score. I was feeling a little crazy by that time, which caused me to say some rather silly things.
Leah: Hey Mandy, where did you get that shirt?
Mandy: *hold up a dollar in each hand* I have TWO DOLLARS!!!!

We got a II. All that hard work for a stinkin' II. I was disappointed. I thought we were better than that. I will look at the score sheets on Monday so I will know exactly which judge I should mouth. I bet we got 2 I's and 2 II's. From where I was standing, we sounded pretty darn good

THE FEMININE MYSTIQUE PART 2
This is an interesting observation: When I am on PMS I feel irritable, depressed, and tired. Sometimes I cry for no reason. I get headaches and feel sick to my stomach. It is a really horrible time of the month for me. On the contrary, when it is Erika's time, her most horrible symptom is having an unbelievably strong urge to change her clothes. She has more than once had to leave school because it is just killing her that her shoes don't match her outfit.

Today as I was driving to lunch a very funny thing happened. A certain Idiot decided to pass me on a two lane road. I was surprised to see this idiot whiz around me illegally, but even more surprised to see that this idiot had illegally passed me in the exact location of a police car that was stationed at Handyman Hardware. You can only imagine how excited I was to see the cop pull that sucker over. For once, justice prevailed. Just a bit of evidence for you doubters out there - there Is a God.

I am fed up with the way people who are supposed to be my friends treat me. Today I was accused of "being mean" by everyone except for the one person who I was supposedly being mean to. I think if this person has a problem with my attitude then she should talk to me, not everybody else. I also don't know how I am supposed to resolve this "issue" if the person who most feels that it is in fact an issue won't talk to me. Another person who has gotten herself involved in what is turning into a Situation suggested that I make an effort to be extra nice. So I tried it. I do not believe it accomplished a single thing. What a waste.
